Our History
FIBAT was started in 2011 by local leaders, local pastors, and Baptist Mid-Missions personnel who all had a vision of training leaders in the Word of God. This Central African team came together and invited Dr. John Dannenberg and Paula Dannenberg to join them in making the school a reality.
Classes began on the BMM station in downtown Bangui with missionaries loaning some of their facilities. The following year a women’s department was formed, and a 22-acre piece of property was purchased as a future campus.
In 2015, FIBAT gained government recognition and began to work towards implementing the LMD European educational standards.
The first graduating class was in 2016. Unfortunately, political turmoil made it unsafe to begin the development of the 22 acre property until 2017 when President Touadéra of C.A.R. laid the first cornerstone.
In 2018, FIBAT also began an evening school program geared towards professionals who are already working in their respective fields.
